Cleft Rhinoplasty is more challenging to get good results because of degree of asymmetry inherent in these conditions. After surgery the nose soften looks ‘improved’ rather than looking normal.
Surgery often takes a few hours. Cartilage grafts are needed which are generally harvested from nasal septum, ears or even rib cartilage – in order to make the necessary changes in the nasal skeleton.
