Lip defects after injury of after excision of the lip cancer, can be reconstructed using various methods to restore form & function of the lips.
Often the defect is reconstructed in one operation most often using local skin flaps, but more complex defect may require two stages, diet may also need to be modified in the early post-operative period. Traumatic lip defects (Dog Bites) can also be repaired and reconstructed using flaps & grafts.
