Gynecomastia is a condition that affects males, often at teenage years, where one or both breasts/nipples enlarge to different degrees of severity. Although self limiting at times, it can persist and become a source of social embarrassment.
Surgery can help remove tissues to debulk the area and to restore normal contour. Best results are when there is no excess skin so scars can be hidden within the areola, if skin is to be removed as well (in severe cases) then scars can be visible in the chest.
